Infrastructure in Killarney



Killarney is a community in southwest Calgary that was officially established in 1906 on land annexed to the City of Calgary in 1910. The community is bounded by 37 Street SW to the west, 17 Avenue SW to the north, 25a Street SW. to the east and Richmond Road SW to the south.

Pictured here is a Future Bus Zone sign located westbound on 26 Avenue at 31 Street SW. The age of this stop is unknown, likely to have been activated during the streetcar or trolleybus era. Originally this stop was used by Route 6, but was later also used by Route 106 as well. Sometime in 2008, the bus stop was relocated one block west to 32 Street SW, and this stop was turned into a Future Bus Zone.
