Former Bus Stops:

Pictured here is a Future Bus Zone sign located eastbound on 19 Avenue at 20 Street SW. This stop was first activated in mid-1997, only being used by Route 417. On July 2, 2007, Route 417 was discontinued due to low ridership and the relocation of the Alberta Children's Hospital to the NW. After the deletion of Route 417, the bus stop sign stood for around 7 years with the 417 sticker removed, until finally being replaced with a Future Bus Zone in 2014 or 2015. Unlike most future bus zones in this city, which have single-sided signs, this future bus zone has double-sided signs.

Pictured here are a selection of Future Bus Zones located on Richmond Road SW in between 17 Avenue SW and 26 Avenue SW. The bus zone in the first photo was used by both routes 106 and 417 throughout it's history, meanwhile the rest were exclusively used by route 106. These bus zones were all activated upon the introduction of Route 106 on March 19, 1984, and were removed December 10, 2012 when Route 106 was discontinued due to the West LRT changes. The first and second future bus zones are located northbound and southbound on Richmond Road at 20 Avenue SW respectively, the third future bus zone is located on Richmond Road at 22 Street SW and the fourth future bus zone is located on Richmond Road at 22 Avenue SW.
